Ms. Nanae Soma

Soprano Nanae Soma is a graduate of the Vocal Department of the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music. She graduated from the Post-Graduate Program of the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music.
In 2001, she was the first singer to receive Seiji Ozawa Opera Project Scholarship for the purpose to study under Renata Scotto, Jane Klaviter, and Kevin Murphy in New York at the Metropolitan Opera. She performed Cosi Fan Tutte as Fiordiligi in its production with conductor Seiji Ozawa.
She received “The Ito Scholarship Foundation” in 1999-2001, and “Rohm Music Foundation” in 2004 and 2006. She had her soprano solo recital in 2000 and 2001. She sung the soprano solo in the performance of Mozart Coronation Missa, Dvorak Mass in D, and Maria in Sound of Music.
She performed at the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music New Artists’ Graduation Concert, The 13th Ichikawa Freshman Concert, The Ito Yokado Music Friends’ concert, and she was invited to numerous other events as a guest singer.
She was a vocal trainer of Tatebayashi Choir from 2000 to 2003.
